Are you looking for some of the best alternatives to Voluum? Then this post is for you.

Voluum is one of the most popular click tracking tools in the market. But it is not for all of you as it comes with some downsides like:

  • It lacks granular reporting and data
  • It has suddenly increased the price drastically
  • It comes at a premium price. The beginner plan costs you $69/month and holds back some of the essential features for advanced marketers
  • Inability to do cross-device tracking

As of today, there are dozens of click-tracking tools in the market that offer similar or even better features for the price you pay for Voluum.

Let’s know more about some of the best alternatives to Voluum.

5 Voluum alternatives that are a better value for money

ClickMagick – Best in features

Clickmagic

ClickMagick is a great alternative to Voluum, as it offers great value for money. I reviewed ClickMagick earlier.

Here are some of the impressive features ClickMagick comes with:

  1. Tracks & optimizes your entire sales funnel
  2. Cross-device tracking
  3. Automated & intelligent split testing
  4. Advanced retargeting
  5. Click rotators
  6. Automatic bot filtering
  7. Affiliate marketing tools
  8. Automatic traffic quality analysis
  9. 24/7 automatic link uptime monitoring
  10. Geo and mobile targeting
  11. Facebook and Google Analytics compatibility
ClickMagic's features for tracking user

It comes with really good features for tracking the user’s entire journey in the funnel. There’s even a dedicated funnel-building tool to create ClickMagick links for your entire funnel.

Along with the support for pixel tracking and query-string parameters for conversion tracking, it also comes with a postback URL mechanism to track conversions on your affiliate offers where you don’t have the ability to add conversion pixels.

With ClickMagick you get access to complete Cross-Device Tracking tech, which was conventionally reserved only for the big tech. Cross-device tracking is available on the Standard and Pro plans, for Campaigns, Tracking Links, and Rotators.

ClickMagick also comes with much more detailed reporting mechanisms, and also utilities to track the activities of a specific Click ID and also IP address.

ClickMagic pricing plans

ClickMagick comes with three plans. For most of the people unless they are driving more than 10,000 clicks per month to their funnels and affiliate offers, the starter plan at $27/month is quite good.

But, if you need more clicks support and also cross-device tracking, you may need to get their standard plan which costs $67/month.

The pricing is significantly cheaper than Voluum whose pricing plans start from $69/month and has quite a lot of limitations in their beginner plan. You can also take a look at of the best ClickMagick alternatives.

Bottomline: ClickMagick is the most advanced link tracking tool. Although it’s not the cheapest option, it’s highly recommended.

JotURL – Best Value for Money

Joturl

JotURL is one of the newest entrants in the field that deserves the attention it deserves.

Similar to ClickMagick, you can create branded links and track the link clicks.

It comes with various redirection mechanisms like Sequential redirect, Weighted redirect, First click redirect, Max clicks redirect, Password protected redirect, Time-scheduled redirect, Http/https redirect, Dynamic redirect, etc.

Some great features when it comes to links are you can pass parameters to the destination, implement link masking, and many more.

It also comes with great conversion tracking mechanisms like:

  • Conversion funnel (5 steps)
  • Configurable cookies
  • Track multiple conversions
  • Track custom parameters
  • Track conversion values
  • Track commissions amount
  • S2S (Postback URL) tracking
  • Conversions piggyback

Being it a relatively new plugin, the features it provides like conversion funnels, postback URL, conversions piggybacking, are commendable.

JotURL features

When it comes to boosting conversions, you can make use of its A/B split testing and also link rotator features similar to that of ClickMagick.

The “Calls to actions” feature that it comes with is unique to JotURL compared to other tools I’ve mentioned. It lets you display your CTAs on other web pages that you shorten using JotURL. There are ~7 various types of CTAs.

Although JotURL is comparable to ClickMagick in terms of features, there’s quite a long way to go.

It lacks some of the advanced features like cross-device conversion tracking (which is in their roadmap), and also there’s a lack of depthness of some features.

JotURL pricing plans

JotURL costs a lot cheaper than other tools like ClickMagick and especially Voluum. Their growth plan comes with 5,000 events per month. Remember, events = clicks + views.

The greatest advantage of JotURL is that you can customize your plans. For example, if you need more than 5,000 events in the growth plan, you can do that.

Bottomline: JotURL is the best value for money tool. It comes with features quite comparable to ClickMagick. But you need to note that it lacks some features like cross-device conversion tracking. Their customizable plans are something that I liked.

ClickMeter

Clickmeter Logo

This tool is quite similar to ClickMagick except for some features.

It comes with all the features for you to manage the redirection of the links, track the conversions (using pixels, cookies), conduct A/B split tests, etc.

Clickmeter features

Clickmeter also comes with a link rotator feature that lets you route visitors to different landing pages. Similar to ClickMagick you can set the rotation modes – Sequential, Random, Weighted, or Spill-over.

Clickmeter has got a really good comprehensive reporting system. You’ll be able to see all your KPIs right on the dashboard. There are also other reporting features like trend reports, conversion comparison tables, click-stream, detailed data point reports, email and audio notifications on performance changes, and many more.

It integrates with 400+ affiliate networks for tracking conversions and reporting. This is quite more impressive than that of only 50+ integrations that ClickMagick comes with.

Although with ClickMagick there are workarounds for integrations with networks not natively supported, it takes a bit of guesswork that Clickmeter helps you skip.

Clickmeter pricing plans

As you can see their beginner plan costs $29/month comes with 25,000 events/month. Do remember that events are clicks + views.

ClickMagick’s beginner plan comes with 10,000 clicks (not events).

So, I would say both ClickMagick and Clickmeter cost you almost the same for the beginner plans. However, Clickmeter takes a big leap in pricing for the 2nd plan.

Bottomline: Clickmeter is a great alternative to Voluum. It has better affiliate platform integrations than some other tools. But it lacks some features like multi-device attribution similar to Voluum. Another factor you need to note is that there’s a huge price jump from the beginner plan to the next plan.

LinkTrackr

LinkTrackr Logo

LinkTrackr is quite an old tool with lots of great features.

When I discovered their tool, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they support script redirection for domain names. That means, if you want to use the domain/custom domain that’s already existing and you don’t like to create a separate domain for creating links, it’s possible.

LinkTrackr script feature for redirection and tracking

You just need to place a redirection script and the tool will take care of proper redirection and tracking.

When it comes to tracking conversions, LinkTrackr supports:

  1. Affiliate SubID Tracking
  2. Pixel Tracking Codes
  3. Postback S2S Tracking

These features make it possible to integrate LinkTrackr with most of the major affiliate networks.

For boosting conversions, you also have A/B Split Testing and Link Rotator features similar to ClickMagick.

LinkTracker pricing plans

Their basic plan starts at $7 per month, that’s a good bargain as it comes with 10,000 clicks. But if you need more advanced features like A/B split testing, Pixel and postback tracking, custom domain support, you need to get their higher plans.

I think the basic plan is woefully inadequate as it does not even come with custom domain features.

So, I would say, for most of the people the beginner plan will be from $17/month.

Bottomline: LinkTracker is a good alternative to Voluum and also Clickmeter. But, lacks some features compared to ClickMagick.

Improvely

Improvely Logo

Improvely markets themselves as “Track, Test and Optimize Your Online Marketing”. When you land on their website, it takes a while for you to know what it does.

One most unique feature of Improvely is customer profile building. Analyzing the visits, behaviors, and conversions of a person on your site, it creates an entire profile out of the data.

This is quite unique compared to say ClickMagick, where you can view the activities of individual visitors by “IP lookup” or “Click ID”.

Here are some of their features:

  • Conversion Tracking
  • Click Fraud Monitoring
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Agency & White-Label

Similar to ClickMagick, Improvely integrates with most of the popular affiliate networks. It tracks the conversions based on tracking pixels or sub-id parameters which most of the affiliate networks support.

They have funnel support as well. You don’t need to define the structure of the funnel. Improvely automatically tracks the flow of the users and lets you visualize where the visitors are dropping out.

Improvely user tracking feature

Improvely also comes with a feature for “Labeling visitors” to facilitate cross-device conversion tracking, quite similar to ClickMagick.

One of the major features it lacks is link rotation feature, which may be quite important for you. But indeed it comes with A/B testing.

 Improvely pricing plans

As you can see, the pricing is on the premium side.

But the best part is that apart from limitations of visits and team members, you get all the features they offer even in their beginner plan.

This is something better compared to tools like Voluum and ClickMagick which holds back some features.

Bottomline: Improvely feels like a more premium tool. It comes with a user profile building feature that sets it apart from other tools. But it lacks some features compared to ClickMagick.

My Final Thoughts

I personally think ClickMagick is the best Voluum alternative if you want advanced features for quite a premium price.

On the other hand, JotURL comes with really advanced features and is quite comparable to ClickMagick. But it does not come with a couple of features like cross-device conversion tracking and more. But it is indeed the best bang for the buck.

You may need to consider other tools too. Because you may find some unique features that are not available anywhere else. For example, script-based redirection in LinkTrackr.
