I’m Akshay Hallur, the founder of BloggingX, InfoSparkle, and many other online ventures. I’m a professional blogger, digital marketer, and a trainer.

I have educated thousands of budding entrepreneurs and businesses to help grow/start their online businesses, through BloggingX (this blog), training courses, YouTube, and Notion products.

My blog BloggingX helps aspiring bloggers and businesses to leverage the power of the internet and content marketing to spread their brand message. It receives over a million page views annually with a team of authors contributing to it.

As a digital marketer, my views were sought after by some of top websites all over the world like The Telegraph, Outlook, Databox, TemplateMonster, DigitalReady, RenderForest, Malcare, SuccessfulBlogging, and much more.

I bring a unique set of interdisciplinary skills 🧠 to the table, including blogging, course design, systems design, and transformational coaching, to help you develop creative solutions to any problem.

🎉 My unfair advantage – I’m a born abstract thinker and generalist. I have a talent for connecting seemingly unrelated topics to develop creative solutions to problems. I am adept at understanding the best knowledge from various domains and synthesizing it to implement precise solutions, often addressing the root causes.

My story

Gloomy days

So, back in 2011, I joined my 11th class in the Electronics stream after acing my 10th class. And guess what? That’s when the blogging bug bit me! I started a bunch of blogs on the Blogger platform, pouring out all the random thoughts swirling in my head. Little did I know that it could actually be an opportunity.

But here’s the thing, my digital hyperactivity started taking a toll on my academic focus.

Chemistry became my arch-nemesis.

I mean, seriously, why did I have to memorize so much stuff that I knew I’d never use in my life? Naturally, I flunked the 11th class Chemistry board exam

Reason?

I just wasn’t interested, plain and simple.

That period of my life was pretty gloomy. I had no idea what to do, and I despised the subjects I was supposed to study. So, I decided to join a Diploma in CSE (at least that was some sort of specialization).

During the early years of my Diploma, I got my first self-hosted blog. I started writing about tech stuff, PC tutorials, YouTube videos, and whatnot. Then came the realization that I needed to dive into a specific domain, and that’s when I started GoBloggingTips. I was like, “Alright, let’s focus and unleash the full potential!

Fast forward to the final year of my Diploma, and I managed to score pretty well. I got selected at PES University CSE, and that’s when the real adventure began.

Here’s the turning point

Now, here’s the twist. At that time, my blog was actually earning me a decent amount of money. But guess what? The university syllabus had the audacity to slowly kill my blog right before my eyes. I realized that my curriculum was going to ruin my blog by devouring all my time.

Plus, let me tell ya, I had zero interest in getting stuck in an MNC job with a fixed salary, a fixed place, and a fixed schedule. Ugh, the thought of being employed just didn’t sit well with me.

I went through a rough patch for about 2 months. I wasn’t properly attending college, couldn’t sleep at night, couldn’t wake up in the morning, and had panic attacks about useless things I had to memorize. I felt like a bird trapped in a cage, yearning to soar high.

It was a tough time for sure. I hadn’t updated my blog for a whopping 4 months, and my daily traffic was plummeting right before my eyes.

But you know what? This is where it all began…

I made the bold decision to drop out of university because it was ruining my business. Sure, getting a degree is seen as a mark of dignity, at least in India. But in my case, it was hindering my true potential.

My old friends would ask me, “Hey, what are you up to these days?” And I would proudly say, “Blogging!” Most of them looked at me like I was a crazy-weird-kid.

But hey, I thought, let them think what they want.

Now, the even bigger challenge for me was to grow my income and give it a real boost. Back then, I was just a low-earning blogger, making around $200 – $400 a month. But then, something clicked in my mind. I realized that I needed to work on myself from the inside out.

Let me tell you, the things I’ve learned over the past 7-8 years have been mind-blowing. Not just about online businesses, but also psychology and personal development. I used to try all sorts of different things, with results that were completely unpredictable. But now, I’ve learned how to play the game and win for sure.

And here we are today. I’m doing what I absolutely love – blogging, YouTubing, coaching, having a team working for my business.

It’s all thanks to the invaluable information I’ve received from my mentors, the books I’ve devoured, and the courses I’ve enrolled in.

So, there you have it!

It hasn’t been a smooth ride, but hey, life’s all about the adventure, right?
