Today, in this post, I will be doing a Systeme.io review.

If you are looking for an all-in-one tool to scale and grow your online business, Systeme is the tool you need to consider.

It is quite new to the industry but is making a lot of buzz.

It is an affordable alternative to ClickFunnels and Kajabi. Both are leading highly-priced tools.

Stay with me till the end of the post.

Overview

Systeme logo 1

Systeme is an all-in-one SaaS platform that comes with sales funnels, email marketing, website builder, LMS, automation, webinars, and an affiliate program.

With this, you don’t need to shell out money on buying tools individually. Also, Systeme is very affordable; you will get access to all its features at just $47/mo.

You can consider Systeme as an affordable alternative to ClickFunnels, Kartra, and Kajabi.

Quick decision

Pros 👍

  • All-in-one solution: Systeme is an all-in-one marketing tool; you will get all the features to run a successful online business. So you don’t need to spend money on external integrations.
  • Free plan: Systeme has a forever-Free plan. It supports up to 3 funnels, unlimited emails, a blog, unlimited students, and much more. Even its premium pricing plans are very affordable.
  • Built-in website builder: Systeme has its own website builder. You can connect it with your custom domain and start publishing your blog posts.
  • Integrated affiliate management: It has an in-built affiliate program to manage all affiliates in one place. You can offer even the second-tier commission for affiliates to earn more.
  • Payment gateway support: It supports multiple payment gateways including Stripe and PayPal without transaction fees, unlike Teachable or Podia.

Cons 👎

  • Basic automation: It lacks advanced automation. For example, it doesn’t come with conditional automation seen in say Kajabi or Clickfunnels.
  • Limited integrations: Systeme has very few integrations, like Stripe, PayPal, MercadoPago, SendGrid, ActiveCampaign. You need to use Zapier to connect it with other external apps.
  • Basic page builder: Its page builder is not feature-rich. It offers very few blocks; you will have limited design freedom.
  • Limited analytics: Its dashboard has very limited analytics. ClickFunnels is really good in this regard; it has detailed analytics and in-depth reports.

Bottom line

If you want an all-in-one funnel-building software that has more features than ClickFunnels and comes at a fraction of the price, Systeme is the best bet for you.

With its comprehensive suite of tools including email marketing, course creation, affiliate management, and webinar capabilities – all starting at just $47/month – it delivers exceptional value compared to competitors that charge $97-$297 monthly for similar functionality.

However, compared to alternatives like Kajabi or even ClickFunnels, sometimes you feel like marketing automation features need a bit more depth.

Interface

Systeme interface

The interface feels clean and less overwhelming than what you’d find in ClickFunnels, especially if you’re just getting started with funnel building.

Everything is laid out logically, making the learning curve much gentler.

Systeme funnel building

Systeme’s funnel builder is where this platform truly shines. It’s designed to be intuitive enough for beginners while offering enough flexibility for experienced marketers.

What makes Systeme’s approach to funnels different is how straightforward the entire process is.

Create funnels based on goals in Systeme 1
Create funnels based on goals in Systeme

You start by selecting your funnel objective – whether you’re looking to build an audience, sell a product, run a webinar, or create something completely custom.

Systeme funnels 2
Funnels in Systeme

Each funnel you create follows a step-by-step flow that mirrors how your customers will experience your offer:

  • Step 1: Choose your funnel type – Select from audience building, product sales, webinar registration, or custom funnels
  • Step 2: Select or create templates – Pick from conversion-optimized templates or start from scratch
  • Step 3: Customize each page – Modify the content, design, and functionality of each step
  • Step 4: Set up automation rules – Create triggers and actions to automate follow-ups
  • Step 5: Connect payment gateways – Integrate Stripe or PayPal to collect payments

Let me walk you through how I set up a basic course sales funnel in Systeme:

First, I selected “Sell a product” as my funnel objective. This immediately presented me with template options specifically designed for product sales.

Systeme funnel building
Systeme funnel settings

Above is the actual funnel I created to sell my course – BloggingX Automation System. I kept it simple with just two steps: an order form and a thank you page.

What I particularly liked was how Systeme handles opt-in forms within the funnel.

Systeme opt in inline form templates
Systeme opt-ins

You get a variety of pre-designed templates that you can quickly customize.

Currently, Systeme supports two types of opt-in forms: inline and popup.

Systeme opt in form types
Systeme opt-in forms

While this is somewhat limited compared to tools that offer slide-ins or floating bars, these two formats cover most basic marketing needs.

Order bumps and upsells

One feature I’ve found particularly valuable is the ability to add order bumps to checkout pages.

These are additional offers shown during checkout that can significantly increase your average order value.

systeme io bump offers
Systeme bump offer

The process is straightforward – select the bump offer product and set its pricing.

You can add multiple order bumps if you wish, though I’d recommend limiting these to avoid overwhelming customers.

Split testing (funnel pages)

Systeme includes built-in A/B testing capabilities that let you optimize your funnel pages over time:

To set up a split test, you simply select the variation and goal pages.

The system then tracks and displays results directly on the test page:

Systeme funnel split test results

While Systeme doesn’t automatically declare winners (you’ll need to analyze and manually select the winning variation), it does provide clear metrics on page views, conversions, and conversion rates.

Funnel automation rules

The best part of Systeme funnels is the automation.

Systeme funnels automation rule triggers

You can add triggers and actions to automate the funnel tasks.

There are various triggers and actions available.

I have added automation to my order form.

Whenever a new sale happens, I will add a tag for the contact – purchased_ [BAS]. View the screenshot above to see all the actions available to automate the tasks.

Funnel analytics

For each funnel, you can access detailed analytics under the “Stats” section:

Systeme funnel page stats

This gives you insights into performance metrics like page views, opt-in and sales conversions, earnings per page view, and total sales.

Having this data readily available helps identify which funnel pages are performing best and where improvements might be needed.

Systeme page builder

Let’s face it – building landing pages can be a pain.

But Systeme’s drag-and-drop builder makes the process surprisingly straightforward, even if you’re not a design pro.

When I first tried Systeme’s page builder, I immediately noticed how intuitive it felt.

Systeme funnel page edit
Systeme page building

Just select the page you want to edit, click “edit page,” and you’re in.

The builder uses a familiar section-row-block structure that makes logical sense.

While it’s not as advanced as dedicated tools like Elementor (review), it definitely gets the job done without the complexity.

Systeme page editor 1
Systeme page builder

What really impressed me were the pre-made blocks that save tons of time.

Instead of building elements from scratch, you can drop in complete sections for:

  • Payment widgets: Perfect for designing checkout pages with minimal effort
  • Feature blocks: Showcase your product benefits in seconds
  • Testimonial sections: Add social proof with just a few clicks
  • Headers and footers: Consistent branding across your pages
Systeme blocks page editor

If you’ve ever used Kartra, you’ll find the blocks in Systeme quite similar – they help you build professional-looking pages in minutes rather than hours.

It also comes with pop-ups functionality as well.

Systeme popups page editor
Creating new popup in Systeme

Creating a pop-up is straightforward – just go to Popups > Add popup.

From there, you can customize margins, desktop/mobile display settings, border styles, colors, and more.

Systeme pop up customization options

The downside?

You’re limited to just inline and popup opt-ins.

If you’re looking for more variety like lightboxes, slide-ins, or floating bars, you might be disappointed. But for most basic marketing needs, the available options work perfectly fine.

Email marketing

When I first started using Systeme’s email tools, I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward everything was.

Creating newsletters and campaigns takes just a few clicks.

Systeme email marketing
Systeme email newsletters and campaigns

The process is refreshingly simple.

Once you’ve crafted your email, you select which contacts should receive it.

Systeme newsletter settings
Select contacts to send the newsletter

Systeme offers several personalization options including first name, family name, phone number, and even affiliate-specific details like ID and dashboard URL.

What I really appreciate is how campaigns work within the platform.

Systeme eBook campaign
Systeme campaign to send eBook

For example, I created a simple eBook campaign to connect with my readers and introduce them to my BloggingX KickStarter course.

The system handles the sequence delivery automatically.

But what about tracking results?

Systeme has you covered with basic but effective analytics.

Systeme eBook email stats
View campaign stats

You can view open rates, click rates, bounce rates, and spam report rates for each campaign. This makes it easy to spot which subscribers are most engaged with your content.

One limitation worth noting: while Systeme offers contact tagging, it lacks comprehensive CRM features for storing detailed customer information.

Systeme CRM
Systeme contacts

You can filter contacts by basic details like email, name, city, and country, which works for most small businesses but might feel limiting if you’re coming from a robust CRM system.

Overall, Systeme’s email marketing capabilities strike a good balance – powerful enough to run effective campaigns but simple enough that you won’t need a specialist to manage them.

Course creation and structure

Systeme offers a solid LMS platform that’s perfect if you’re looking to create and sell online courses without dealing with overly complex systems.

Systeme courses
Systeme courses

I’ve been using it for my BloggingX Automation System course, and it’s been surprisingly efficient.

The platform uses a simple two-level curriculum structure – modules and lectures.

This straightforward approach makes organizing your content intuitive, even if you’re new to course creation.

The content editor gives you everything you need to build engaging lessons.

Systeme course editor
Systeme course editor

You can easily add text, images, videos, audio files, FAQs, and even a table of contents. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done.

For videos (which are usually the core of most online courses), Systeme is surprisingly generous with storage.

You get unlimited video storage, though each file must be under 2GB.

systeme io supported video types
Systeme supported video types

You can upload directly to Systeme, embed YouTube videos, or use custom embed codes from platforms like Vimeo or Wistia.

Beyond just courses, Systeme allows you to create course bundles to increase your sales.

👎 While Systeme’s LMS covers the basics well, it does lack some features you might find in dedicated platforms like Thinkific or Kajabi – community features for student interaction, course completion certificates, quizzes and assessments, and course compliance features.

Course delivery and student experience

From the instructor side, one feature I particularly appreciate is the ability to drip-schedule individual lectures (though not entire modules).

This helps prevent overwhelm and keeps students engaged over time.

Systeme course drip settings
Systeme course content dripping

What’s really convenient is that you can create and send drip emails right from the course interface without switching to the email tab.

When you click “create a dripped email campaign,” the email editor loads instantly, streamlining your workflow.

From the student perspective, the course interface is clean and minimalistic, which helps keep the focus on learning rather than getting distracted by flashy design elements.

systeme io course progress
Systeme front-end course experience

Students can control video quality and playback speed, and they need to mark lectures as complete to track their progress.

The navigation is straightforward, making it easy to move between modules and lectures.

In the course settings, you can customize the look and feel of your course with theme and font choices, add your logo, and even embed custom code in the footer (perfect for adding tracking pixels).

Systeme connect your course to a funnel
Map the course to funnel

You’ll also need to connect your course to a funnel, which integrates it with your overall sales process.

Overall, while Systeme’s course platform isn’t as feature-rich as dedicated LMS solutions, it offers a streamlined experience that works well for both creators and students.

The simplicity actually becomes an advantage – there’s less to configure, which means you can focus more on creating great content and less on figuring out complex settings.

Physical products

With Systeme, you can sell physical products along with courses.

Systeme has a built-in VAT calculation system, so you don’t need to worry about tax calculations.

Just add the VAT tax and forget it. Systeme handles all the payment-related tasks.

You can also create attributes for physical products similar to WooCommerce, helping users to choose variants of your products.

Marketing automation

Systeme shines when it comes to marketing automation.

automation rules and workflows
Systeme automation rules and workflows

I’ve found this feature to be a game-changer for my own workflows, especially when managing my course launches and follow-up sequences.

The automation builder uses a visual canvas that makes creating complex workflows surprisingly intuitive.

Systeme marketing automation rules and workflows 1
Creating automation triggers

You start with a trigger (like someone subscribing to your list), then build out your sequence with three key components:

  • Actions: These are tasks the system performs automatically, like sending emails, adding tags, or enrolling students in courses.
  • Decisions: These create paths in your workflow based on user behavior, though you can’t create true conditional branching (e.g., “If user matches X AND clicks Y, then do Z”).
  • Delays: These add strategic pauses between actions to create a more natural communication sequence.

For my eBook delivery system, I created a simple but effective automation.

When someone subscribes to my squeeze form, Systeme automatically sends them the eBook, then follows up with login credentials for my course if they have the right tag.

adding actions decisions and delays in the workf
Adding actions, decisions, and delays in the workflows

Beyond the visual workflow builder, Systeme also offers automation rules for simpler “if this, then that” scenarios. These are perfect for straightforward tasks that don’t need complex decision trees.

The beauty of having this automation capability built right into the same platform as your funnels, courses, and email system is that everything works together seamlessly.

No more wrestling with clunky integrations between separate tools!

However, Systeme lacks some advanced features like split testing for automated emails and true multi-condition logic found in dedicated platforms like ActiveCampaign.

For most online entrepreneurs and course creators though, the existing automation features will be more than sufficient.

Blogging

Systeme has a built-in blogging feature, but it is not as powerful as WordPress.

systeme io blog
Systeme blog

You can edit the blog layout using the drag-and-drop builder. Create blog posts and pages, and customize them as needed.

adding custom domain in systeme io

To set up a custom domain, go to Systeme Settings > Custom domain.

Complete your DNS configurations, create CNAME records, etc. and complete your domain setup.

Affiliate program

Systeme includes a powerful built-in affiliate program, I’ve found this to be one of the platform’s standout features, especially compared to other all-in-one solutions.

What makes this system unique is how seamlessly it integrates with your existing user base.

Your students and customers are already your best potential affiliates!

With Systeme, you don’t force them through a separate signup process. You can simply send their affiliate ID directly to their email, and they’re ready to start promoting.

When they log in to their affiliate dashboard, everything they need is right there. No confusion, no complicated setup.

Want to make this process even more hands-off?

systeme io affiliate program funnel
Integrate affiliates seamlessly in your funnels

Here’s a simple automation I set up:

  1. Create a squeeze page to capture interested affiliate emails
  2. Set an automation rule that triggers when someone subscribes, automatically sending them all their affiliate details

The settings are straightforward too.

Just head to Settings > Affiliate program where you can customize:

Systeme affiliate program 1
Affiliate program settings
  • Default commission rates (I recommend starting generous to attract quality affiliates)
  • Minimum payout thresholds
  • Payout delays to protect against refunds
  • Second-tier commission structures if you want a multi-level approach
Systeme affiliate commission payouts settings
Choose payment gateway

For payouts, Systeme currently supports PayPal and wire transfers. Not the widest selection, but covers the most common payment methods my affiliates use.

One clever feature I’ve been testing is the affiliate proxy links system.

Creating affiliate proxy link

This lets you create affiliate links for pages that aren’t even hosted on Systeme! You simply add the external URL and set your domain.

But here’s one thing to remember – for proper sales tracking, that external page needs to eventually send users to your Systeme opt-in or payment page. This makes it perfect when you want to promote content that leads people into your funnels.

Systeme integrations

Systeme lacks in integrations.

sendgrid and activecampaign integration
Sendgrid and ActiveCampaign integration

It just has native integrations with email marketing tools like SendGrid, ActiveCampaign, and payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal. That’s it.

There are no other integrations available.

You can use Zapier to connect external tools with Systeme.

Pricing

First off, they offer a forever-free plan that’s perfect if you’re just starting out.

Systeme pricing

You can actually build a real business without spending a dime – something most platforms don’t offer.

Their paid plans are where things get interesting:

  • Startup plan ($17/mo): Gives you 10 funnels, 5 blogs, and 5 membership sites – plenty for most beginners getting their feet wet.
  • Webinar plan ($47/mo): This is what I recommend for most users. You get 10 evergreen webinars plus increased limits on everything else. The webinar feature alone makes this worth it.
  • Unlimited plan ($97/mo): As the name suggests, this removes all restrictions. Unlimited funnels, blogs, membership sites, webinars – everything. Perfect if you’re scaling up or managing multiple businesses.

What’s refreshing is that all plans include the core features – email marketing, payment processing, affiliate management, etc.

You’re not paying extra for essential functionality.

Compare this to ClickFunnels starting at $97/month with serious limitations, or Kajabi at $149/month, and you’ll see why Systeme has been gaining so much traction.

Alternatives to Systeme

Systeme vs ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels is built specifically for creating sales funnels, but it comes with a hefty price tag. Their starter plan costs $97/mo and only gives you 20 funnels with up to 100 pages.

Want their email marketing feature? You’ll need to pay a whopping $277/mo for the Follow-Up Funnels. Meanwhile, Systeme offers unlimited everything at just $97/mo.

But ClickFunnels does shine in some areas. It offers more detailed analytics and connects with many more tools – from email platforms to payment systems.

Systeme vs Kajabi

Kajabi focuses on course creation with extra features like community spaces, coaching tools, and podcast hosting. You won’t find these in Systeme.

Like ClickFunnels, Kajabi isn’t cheap. But you do get your money’s worth with its marketing tools, sales funnels (they call them pipelines), and built-in blogging capabilities.

Wrap up

After spending time with Systeme, I’m convinced it hits the sweet spot between functionality and price in the all-in-one business platform market.

What makes it stand out?

Simple.

While ClickFunnels and Kajabi offer robust features, their high prices create real barriers for new entrepreneurs. Systeme delivers about 80% of what those premium platforms offer at a fraction of the cost.

You get everything under one roof: sales funnels, email marketing, course hosting, webinars, affiliate management, and blogging. No extra integrations needed. For most online business owners, that covers all the bases.

Is it perfect?

No.

You might miss some advanced customization options. The limited third-party integrations could be a dealbreaker if you’re heavily invested in specific tools.

Though it’s almost perfect for budget-conscious course creators, coaches, and digital product sellers who want to focus on content rather than wrestling with complex tech.
